Valentines Weekend

I felt like this weekend was really long for some reason (and not in a bad way, just busy). My mother stayed with us for the week which was so nice. The boys and I love having her around. I also love the extra set of hands.

She watched the boys Friday night so Josh and I could celebrate Valentine's Day. We ate at COV in Wayzata and finished the night by seeing 50 Shades of Grey.

In love with these fixtures!

I really liked the movie. Josh not so much but I really didn't expect anything less. He then went and analyzed it for the next two day (but what do you expect when you're married to a psychiatrist).

Late Friday night my dad, brother, sister in-law and niece came in town to watch my nephew play his last hockey game (he's a senior in high school). Saturday morning we woke up and gave the kids their Valentines. And what goes better with hearts and love? Donuts of course!

After breakfast the guys watched the kids so the ladies could get a well needed pedicure. I wish I could get one every week! Josh and I are going to Austin, TX this coming weekend and my feet haven't seen the light of day in months. Let's just say I don't have the cutest feet in the world and seeing them in sandals without some help would give anyone nightmares including myself.

Later that night the whole family went to the hockey game. The kids had a blast even though they we completely exhausted. It was way past their bedtime.

Josh had to work at the hospital on Sunday and my family left after breakfast so it was just me and the boys. We attempted swim lessons again and again Porter wasn't feeling it. He barfed in the waste basket in the lifeguard's office (i just assume it's going to happen every time so I prepare for the worst and hope for the best). I'm really starting to think he doesn't like it (Lol). But they say keep bringing him, so we will. He actually didn't get in the pool until there was about ten minutes left. Of course he whimpered a little but not like before. Baby steps!

We ended the day with a visit to the library, hospital to see Josh and a warm bubbly bath.
