Josh was feeling off this entire week and finally went to the doctor. They diagnosed him with walking pneumonia so Friday was low key. He starting feeling better and then I started feeling sick.
After we both got some good drugs we woke up Saturday morning and took the boys to Yo-Yo Donuts. We even let them wear their pajamas (we might be a tish lazy, but who cares its the weekend). Very cute place with great donuts and STRONG coffee.
Sunday was pretty chill. Porter had a friend come over to play for a little bit and everything was fine and dandy until Josh took him to swimming lessons. We've been struggling with swimming because Porter gets all excited until he has to get in. He lost his mind! He got so upset that he threw up in the pool (yeah for us). The instructor told Josh to leave the pool area so Porter could finish the lesson. Other parents came up to Josh and starting telling him their horror stories about their kids. I guess we're not the only ones. As soon as it was done he stopped crying and wanted ice cream. Kids!

Porter loves anything blue so he was in heaven. I don't think he minded the donuts either.
After running around all day doing errands we went home and made the boys dinner. Josh's dad and girlfriend came over to watch the kids and we had a much needed date night. We started at a new micro-distillery called Du Nord Craft Spirits. It's one of Minnesota's first micro-distilleries, and the first licensed cocktail room in the Twin Cities. They serve vodka and gin and the plant is on-site. Their drink menu is very creative and interesting. The down side is they don't serve food so don't go there hungry. Overall though it was a pretty cool.
After Du Nord we decided to head out of our little bubble and head to St. Paul and had dinner at Salut on Grand Ave. After dinner we went to Cafe Latte for a drink and listened to live music. It was the perfect way the end the night.
Our Super Bowl was pretty uneventful. We went over to a friends for a little bit and the kids played. I couldn't even tell you who was was ahead. We stayed until halftime and went home because both kids were tuckered out. All and all it was a pretty nice weekend!
